Visit Ouarzazate, a popular stopover on the road of 1000 kasbahs. Its name comes from a Berber phrase meaning “without noise” or “without confusion”.
Ouarzazate have the nickname “The entrance of the desert” and starts at the southern of High Atlas Mountains. The city itself has many things for the visitor to discover. From kasbahs, markets, museums, cinema studios, river banks, the old districts of Taourirt and Tassoumate etc.
The most important attraction to visit in Ouarzazate is the beautiful Kasbah Taourirt. A residential castle which was built in the 20th century. This Kasbah is still very well preserved.
Another interesting sight is the film studios Atlas Cinema, the world’s largest film studios, and CLA Cinema, where have served as a shooting location to famous movies.
Around Ouarzazate is the perfect location for quad biking. Cross stunning trails towards Fint Oasis and explore the desolate landscape.
