This 11-day Morocco travel from Casablanca gives you a taste of the most famous attractions of Morocco. From the ornate palaces of Marrakech to the breathtaking peaks of the Atlas Mountains, Morocco has captivated travelers for centuries.

We are starting from the modern Casablanca with its cosmopolitan aura, continuing to the Royal Meknes and Fez, with an optional day trip to the popular “Blue Pearl of Morocco“. Then, we are heading to Merzouga, and Erg-Chebbi dunes for a camel ride and overnight in a desert camp under the magnificent night sky of Sahara. After spending two nights in the desert, our Morocco travel from Casablanca continues northwest to Ouarzazate, and the mudbrick village of Ait Benhaddou, and later, via the spectacular mountains of the High Atlas, we will reach the bustling and colorful markets of Marrakech. Optional you can visit on a day trip the enchanting Essaouira before your transfer to Casablancas airport for your departure.

Day 1Arrival in Casablanca

Your Morocco travel from Casablanca begins as you arrive at the airport. From there, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for check-in. Begin exploring Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. Take a scenic stroll along the vibrant Corniche and marvel at the Hassan II Mosque, a modern architectural masterpiece with one of the tallest minarets in the world.

 

Day 2Casablanca - Rabat - Meknes - Volubilis - Fez

After breakfast, depart for Rabat, the capital city and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit iconic landmarks including the Hassan Tower, the tranquil Oudaya Kasbah, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. Continue to Meknes, another imperial city, where you’ll explore the Medersa Bou Inania and the magnificent Bab Mansour Gate. From there, travel to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, known for their stunning mosaics. End the day in Fez, checking into a traditional riad in the heart of the city.

 

Day 3Guided Exploration of Fez

Experience the cultural and historic depth of Fez with a guided tour of its UNESCO-listed medina, one of the oldest and most vibrant in the world. Visit the Bou Inania and Attarine Medersas, the Nejjarine Fountain, and the Karaouine Mosque. Day 4Fez Leisure Day or Chefchaouen Excursion

Day 5 Fez - Middle Atlas Mountains - Ziz Valley - Merzouga

Stop in Khamlia to enjoy the soulful rhythms of Gnawa music and visit the seasonal Dayate Sarji Lake. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek through the dunes to witness a breathtaking sunset. Spend the night in a traditional desert camp, dining under the star-filled sky.

Day 7Merzouga Desert - Todra Gorges - Dades Valley

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes before returning to Merzouga. Day 8Dades Valley - Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou - Atlas Mountains - Marrakech

Travel through the Rose Valley and the Skoura palm grove, where you’ll see ancient kasbahs and flourishing date palms. Stop in Ouarzazate, the “Gateway to the Desert,” and explore the Taourirt Kasbah.
